INSTALLATION

Concept: JUNA AMANO + C.G. RYAN / Installation: 400 West Rich / Videography: C.G. RYAN / Development & Media Design: C.G. RYAN

COLLABORATION PROCESS

JUNA AMANO and C.G. RYAN collaborated earlier to create in interactive sculpture with intertwined strands of fabric with each of their most significant life events (Phase 1). When they received an invitation to create an installation at the WOW (Women On Women) show at 400 W Rich, they decided to create a multimedia installation that told the story of their relationship, with a circular hanging projection screen with a kaleidoscope view and a standing monitor that used split screens (phase 2)

When C.G. was invited to create a piece on the theme of female friendship, she adapted the “you | me | WE” installation into a music video to Phil Maneri and Trista Hill’s SPECTERS, part of their “Conversations with Ghosts” album. (Phase 3)
